Tuyo Nang Damdamin

This is the first time that I am going to
feature a Filipino song. And I will try my
best to translate it to English,
for easy comprehension of my readers
if there is any. LOL!

this song had been a very popular
and very much a favorite of not only me
perhaps but a lot of Filipinos,
during the era and maybe up to the
early 90's back home in the Philippines.

a song originally sung and popularized
by the APO Hiking Society and revived by
J E D      M A D E L A

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Minsan kahit na pilitin mong uminit ang damdamin
(Sometimes 'tho how much you try to revive or warmth the feelings)

Di siya susunod, at di maglalambing
(he will not follow, and he will not care/caress)

Minsan di mo na mapigil mapansin
(Sometimes you can no longer avoid noticing)

Na talagang wala nang naiiwan na pagmamahal
(that there is no more love left)

REFRAIN:
At kahit na anong gawin
(and no matter what you do)

Di mo na mapilit at madaya
(You can no longer insist or cheat)

Aminin sa sarili mo
(Admitting to yourself)

Na wala ka ng mabubuga
(That you don't have anything left to give)

Parang isang kandila na nagdadala
(Just like a candle that brings)

Ng ilaw at liwanag
(light and brightness)

Nauubos rin sa magdamag
(it won't last the whole night)

(INSTRUMENTAL)
Di na madaig o mabalik ang dating matamis na kahapon
(It cannot be beaten or revive the sweet past)

Pilitin ma’y tuyo nang damdamin
(No matter how you force/insist, the feeling had died)
(note: although tuyo means it dry/dried)
